Hunting Desert mule deer and desert sheep:

A 42,000 acre ranch near Kino Bay in the state of Sonora, Mexico. The ranch boasts many species of cactus, beautiful mountains, and breathtaking views of the Sea of Cortez. Much of the foliage, including a multitude of jojoba plants, is believed to contribute to the massive horn growth of these desert mule deer. The deer are provided surprisingly good coverage, but the platform lift in the back of the Mercedes Unimog hunting vehicles helps even the odds.

We have a nice population of Coues Deer on the ranch. These animals are also available to shoot while on your Desert Mule Deer Hunt or on your Desert Bighorn Sheep hunt. There will of course be an additional charge for shooting one of these animals (see fees under Book a Trip)

Hunters will stay in a very comfortable 6000 square foot hacienda we built in 2008. The home has 4 master bedrooms, each with a private bath, and it includes a large common room with a kitchen, dining area, wet bar and living area. A large (3000 foot) wraparound covered patio houses a warm fireplace for the cool evenings along with a swimming pool/hot tub and a view of the ocean. The cook prepares a wonderful variety of American and Mexican dishes and desserts

Directions for Desert Mule Deer and Desert Sheep Hunts:

The ranch is located in Kino Bay, Sonora, Mexico. It is about a 5 hour drive south of Tuscon, Arizona. It is best to fly, rather than drive. You should fly commercially into Hermosillo, Mexico where you will be picked up and driven 65 miles west to the ranch. You should connect through Phoenix, Arizona or through Los Angeles, California. You should not connect through another Mexican city before arriving in Hermosillo because gun permits are issued by individual states, so your permit will be issued in the state of Sonora.
